{"id":55,"date":"2016-05-19T14:28:41","date_gmt":"2016-05-19T14:28:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.krity.net\/KritysKitchen\/?p=55"},"modified":"2018-03-31T01:27:43","modified_gmt":"2018-03-31T01:27:43","slug":"hot-n-crispy-jalebi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.krity.net\/KritysKitchen\/recipe\/hot-n-crispy-jalebi\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot N Crispy Jalebi"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>From Krity&#8217;s Kitchen-<\/h4>\n<h5>Hot N Crispy Jalebi:<\/h5>\n<h5><em>Ingredients :<\/em><\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nRefined Flour 1.5 cups <\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Sugar 2 cups<br \/>\nMilk 1 tablespoon<br \/>\nGreen cardamom powder 1\/2 teaspoon<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<h5><em>Procedure:<\/em><\/h5>\n<p><strong><em>Step 1:<\/em><\/strong> Take the plain flour in a bowl and mix one and a half cups of water and beat with your hands for half an hour to make a light smooth batter. Cover the bowl and keep in a warm place to ferment for twenty hours.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_391\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-391\" class=\"wp-image-391 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.krity.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/jalebi2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-391\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hot and Crispy Jalebi<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>Step 2:<\/em><\/strong> Prepare the sugar syrup. To do so boil the sugar with two cups of water in a deep non-stick pan on high heat, stirring continuously, till the sugar dissolves. Add the milk, collect the scum, which rises to the surface with a ladle, and discard.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 3:<\/em><\/strong> Add the cardamom powder and boil the syrup. Keep stirring, till the syrup attains a one-string consistency. Let the syrup cool, but ensure that it remains lukewarm.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 4:<\/em><\/strong> Take the fermented batter and beat it again with your hands for 5-10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 5:<\/em><\/strong> Heat refined oil in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Pour some of the batter into a squeeze bottle. Hold the bottle over the hot ghee and gently squeeze the batter into the oil in spiral shapes.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Step 6:<\/strong><\/em> Fry the jalebis by gently turning them over occasionally, till each side turns golden and crisp.
